PERGAMON - An Archeological EP
"Pergamon" is a concept-driven audio project inspired by the immersive spaces of the Pergamon Museum in Berlin. I composed four original pieces, each crafted for a specific room of the museum, turning ancient themes into immersive musical storytelling.
As part of this project, I conducted extensive historical and contextual research to understand the cultural weight of each exhibit. From this, I composed and designed original sonic environments that echo the emotional and spatial essence of each room. These are not just compositions — they are soundscapes built with intention, blending tonal storytelling with textured design.
One of the key creative aspects of the EP was the creation of custom sounds — including the construction of a physical ancient-style def (frame drum), handcrafted and recorded to authentically integrate percussive elements that evoke the rituals and rhythms of the past.
To complement the EP, I produced a documentary-style music video filmed inside the museum itself. The result is a fully immersive audiovisual experience that fuses experimental sound design, historical narrative, and visual art — offering listeners a modern reflection on ancient worlds.
